How HuurPulse works

1. Search for a rental home

On Search rental homes you'll see the current listings. Search by town or postcode and, if you like, choose a distance around that place, or a neighbourhood. You can also use the map and search the area you can see on it.

Filters help you narrow down the list, for example by:

• rent per month, with a minimum and a maximum
• type of home, number of rooms and floor area
• furnishing, energy label and the latest date the home is available from
• conditions, such as pets allowed, suitable for students, house sharing or registration possible
• only new listings, only verified landlords or only homes with direct contact

2. Save your search

Picked the right filters? Then save your search. You'll need an account for that, which you can create with your email address or your Google account.

You choose how often you hear from us:

• As soon as we find it: whenever there's something new.
• Once a day: one summary at a time you choose (08:00 by default).
• Once a week: one summary on Monday.

We send these updates by email. You'll also see matching homes in My HuurPulse. Don't want messages at night or while you're at work? Turn on quiet hours. Anything that comes in during that time, you'll get afterwards.

3. We keep an eye on the market

We keep collecting new listings and checking whether homes are still available. The listings come from:

• landlords and letting agents who post their homes on HuurPulse themselves or connect their listings automatically;
• public listings on other sites. For these we only show the basic details, such as the town, rent and number of rooms, with a link to the original listing. You then respond on the source's website.

Is the same home on several sites? Then you'll see it on HuurPulse once. The other sites are listed under Also available on.

4. Respond quickly and well prepared

For homes listed directly on HuurPulse, you respond using the form on the listing page. For homes from other sites, one click takes you to the original listing.

In My HuurPulse you'll find some handy tools:

• Favourites: save homes you're interested in.
• Compare: put up to four favourites side by side.
• History: see which homes you've viewed or responded to. Only you can see this list.
• Candidate profile: a short introduction for landlords, for example who you'll be living with and your work situation. Filling it in is optional, and you decide for each reply whether to include it.

Search safely

Something not right about a home, or don't trust the listing? Use the Report an error button on the listing. Read more on Report an error and in our tips on renting safely. Never pay a deposit or rent before you've viewed the home and have a rental contract.
